Padma Pastry Co. is my mom’s legacy, remixed.

Long before home baking became a movement in Dhaka, my mom was one of the city’s first at-home caterers — introducing frosted sugar cookies and gooey brownies to a market that had never tasted anything like them. I grew up watching her build something out of nothing but an oven and ambition. Now, every time I go back home and see so many people running thriving baking businesses out of their kitchens, I feel that same pride all over again.

With Padma Pastry Co., I’m continuing what she started — but in reverse. Instead of bringing bideshi bakes to Bangladesh, I’m bringing deshi flavors to those same classics I grew up loving. Think familiar treats with flavors that taste like home. One bake at a time.
